RUSA logo“During my two-year term, I hope to foster collaborations, nationally and internationally, that bridge information gaps for library users,” Fabiku says. “I am committed to advocating for policies that prioritize inclusive and accessible services to all of the diverse communities we serve.”

A division of the ALA, RUSA serves all types of libraries in reference, user services, adult readers advisory, and collection development as well as resource sharing, genealogy and archives, business reference, and reference technology. The RUSA network educates, empowers, and inspires its members to advance the evolution of the profession and better serve users in a continuously changing information society.

“Throughout my career working in libraries, I've witnessed the continued challenges faced in delivering equitable services,” she adds. “Academia and libraries are a little slow sometimes in keeping up with our society's changing information needs, but RUSA has been an amazing division to be a part of because they are working towards improvements to the profession so we can better serve our users. I love that we are not just keeping the status quo and helping to rethink what the term ‘library services’ is.”
